Any data not saved to disk would be lost; the file reverting to the last saved version. In Hibernate, this data loss threat would not exist. Of course, this assumes your disks are using an NTFS filesystem. I have seen some Acers still using the 'asking for a problem' FAT filesystem. Which one are you using?
